NIDAQ Tools MX: Data Acquisition for Igor Pro
Supported Devices
The NIDAQ Tools MX package supports data acquisition devices from National Instruments, Inc. We do not support devices from other manufacturers.
It is difficult to give a definitive list of National Instruments boards that are supported because the NI product line is extensive and constantly changing. In general, NIDAQ Tools MX supports devices that are supported by the NI-DAQmx driver, with the exception of RT "real-time" series, and the FPGA or RIO devices.
Note that we do not sell the hardware. You must buy you DAQ device from National Instruments.
See below for hardware supported by legacy versions of NIDAQ Tools, based on NI-DAQ Traditional or NI-DAQ 6.9.3.
NIDAQ Tools MX does not support IEEE-488 (GPIB) instruments. The Igor Pro installation includes a free plug-in called NIGPIB2.xop that communicates with a National Instruments IEEE-488 controller.

Devices Supported by NIDAQ Tools MX
You must install the National Instruments NI-DAQmx driver v. 7.5 or later. As NI-DAQmx is only available for Windows, we cannot make NIDAQ Tools MX available on Macintosh.
Some devices may require NI-DAQmx version 8.0 or later. Check with National Instruments for the definitive information.

Devices Supported by Legacy Versions of NIDAQ Tools
You must install the National Instruments NI-DAQ driver, included when you buy a DAQ device from them. If you install NI-DAQmx, you must install the "Traditional" driver. Be sure to check the list of devices supported by the driver- the NI-DAQ Traditional driver does not support older devices such as the PCI-1200. For those older devices use NI-DAQ version 6.9.3, which can still be downloaded from the National Intruments web site.
The M-series devices are not supported by NI-DAQ Traditional or NI-DAQ 6.9.3, so Legacy NIDAQ Tools cannot support them.
The Legacy NIDAQ Tools does not support PXI or the Modular instruments in the 44xx series.

Boards we do not support
High-Resolution/Temperature Input devices. This includes the 4350 and 4351 families of devices.
Real Time RT series of devices, such as the PCI-7030/6040E.
SCXI switching devices.
The 5000-series digitizer devices.
The FPGA or RIO devices.
