appendLayoutObject: how to refer to a graph in a folder?

I am trying to plot a layout where I am adding 4 graphs that are already created in the data folder. Can I append graph this way or I have to reproduce the graph and append it to the layout?

There are no graphs in a data folder, only the data itself (in the form of waves). A graph is nothing more than a representation of this data. Layouts only take graphical representations of data, so you cannot directly append any 'data'.
