"Copy Wave To List" in Global Analysis

What is the intended function of the "Copy Wave To List" button in the "Global Analysis" Panel?

I'm assuming it is a button that will copy a wave containing fitting coefficients into the "Initial Guess" column.

But it actually is copying my coefficients into the "Epsilon" column.

Is this a bug or a feature whose functionality I do not yet appreciate?

If it's a feature, how can I get the contents of a wave into the Initial Guess column? There must be a better way than typing it all in manually, and that is really not going to be practical for me because I have a 10 parameter equation with 2 global parameters and I will be fitting 20 data sets. I need to approach this fit a bit iteratively, so I can hone in on the answer, and every time I add a new data set, the Initial Guess wave is set to zero.

What version of Igor are you using? The latest Global Fit doesn't have such a button (unless I've forgotten something tricky, which is always possible).

Hm. I still don't see the button. Can you provide some details?

In the Coefficient Control tab, you can click in the title cell of the Initial Guess column and select Load From Wave. That will put up a menu of all the waves that have the right number of rows to exactly fill all the editable cells in the Initial Guess column.

You can also create wave with N rows, then select N rows in the list. Then the Load From Wave menu will show only waves with N rows. If any of the selected rows are LINK rows, it will set all the linked coefficients as well. My intention here was to make it possible to do a regular fit to a single data set, then use the result to set the initial guess for that data set within the Global Analysis panel.

These techniques also work for a click in the Epsilon column, in order to fill in the Epsilon values.

Just to follow up: We sorted out this problem by noting that I was not using the current version of the Global Analysis Panel. The new panel does not have this button.
