Drawing mirrored axis to match at specific location

Sometimes I create a graph window that I want to have multiple non-overlapping plotting areas in. I'll create multiple axes and in the modify axis I'll use the draw between options so I can create two or more seperate plots. For example if I wanted a window with 2x2 plots in it I might do something like draw between 0 and 48% for one set of axis and 52-100% for the other axis. Do a combination of those for the x and y axis and you can create 4 plots that do not overlap.

The problem I run in to is that it seems the mirror on option always draws the mirrored axis at the opposite end of the window area. So for the top right plot that goes halfway to the right, if I mirror the y axis it will draw that mirror'ed axis all the way to the right of the window area.

Is there a way to draw the mirrored axis at the correct location, even if I have to manually tell it where that location is.

Attached image to show, I would like the mirrored axis to be where the x axis ends.
