fit curve

Hi! i'm new in igor.i  want to knox how too fit the same curve with two différent fits, for example, a part with polynomial and un other part with gaussian

thank you

You can set the graph cursors around the part you want to fit with a polynomial, then in the Curve Fit dialog select the Data Options tab and click the Cursors button.

Then move the cursors to the part you want to fit to a Gaussian. Go into the Curve Fit dialog and update all the settings and do the next fit.

HOWEVER, there is an unfortunate gotcha. The wave used to display the fit curve is given a name based on the Y data wave, with "fit_" prepended to the Y data wave's name. The second fit will overwrite the first fit curve wave. To prevent that, rename the fit curve wave before you do the second fit.

The Wavemetrics guys did a youtube video on this exact question.
