Loading HDF4/installing HDFLoader

I need to load in some HDF4 files, which apparently require the older HDF Loader XOP.
Does anyone have a clue as to how to install/activate these in Igor? The manual doesn't describe the installation process (as it does for the HDF5 loader).

When Igor starts up, if it finds any Igor extension files (or shortcuts to files) in either of these folders, Igor will open them automatically when it starts up.
You will find additional extensions in the More Extensions folder. To activate an extension in the More Extensions folder, right-click the extension file and choose "Copy", and then locate the
\WaveMetrics\Igor Pro 6 User Files\Igor Extensions\
folder by choosing "Show Igor Pro 6 User Files" from Igor's Help Menu. Open that Igor Extensions folder, right click inside and choose "Paste Shortcut".Then restart Igor Pro.

So you do not need to install them. You just need to put it in the right folder. However, it does not have a GUI. If you want to the "HDF5 browser", you can convert the HDF4 files to HDF5 files. You can find one conversion software from here: http://www.hdfgroup.org/h4toh5/
