polar graph:: add external axis

In the polar graph style setting, I try to  active the two hided crossing axis as the external axis.

but I always felt there was a difference:

such as,

can not display the absolute values in the axis.

the starting point of the axis cannot be any value other than 0.

the central point can not be other number than 0.

What is your goal?

Why are you showing the normally-hidden VertCrossing and HorizCrossing axes?

Those axes don't know about polar coordinates, so of course they'll show positive and negative "radius" values.

Those values will appear to be wrong if valueAtCenter is something other than 0.

What do you want the central point of the axis to be, if not 0?

just like example graph shows:  the central axis of the polar plot is cancelled, and a separate external axis representing the radial value was established.

I want do it like that in igor. so I choose to using the hidden axes. Are there any other good ways I'm not aware of ?

 

and the other question ahout the central 0 is that not all radial data starts from 0, or is it not needed?

Here's an example using the Radius Axes set to Left at radius = 7.5.

I may not have understood you correctly, but if your non-zero issue is referring to the range of the radial axis, then one can set the Radius Origin to a non-zero vale, as in the above. This example uses the same demo experiment as @JimProuty.
