Resizing window to show entire table

When I create a table, the standard size is quite small. In previous versions of Igor for Mac, clicking on the green + button at the top left of the window used to resize the window to fit as much of a table as was possible based on the number of rows and columns. Now this button expands the window to Full screen, which is not what I usually want.

I recall reading in this forum about a command to resize a window to some optimal size based on its content. Is there such a command, or else what is a replacement of the green + button to resize a window sensibly?

Apple did this to you...

Try Option+green button. That at least avoids full screen, but I think these days it expands the window to fill the monitor its on. We used to intercept the events involved with this and force a window to do something sensible, but it has become harder and harder to do things like that.

You can also "capture" your preferred table window size.

Make any table the desired size, then choose Table->Capture Table Prefs, check the "Window size and position" checkbox, and click "Capture Prefs".

Afterwards, any table you create with Windows->New Table or the Edit command on the command line will use the captured size and position as the initial size and position.

You may need to add additional tool to your system...

I use Moom, but there are other window managers in App store and on line for macOS. If you have Parallels, their Parallels toolbox has also one. Clearly, Apple choice for window control is not regarded highly by many macOS users.
