Sorting waves and folders within a data folder in the data browser

I am working on a function that summarizes various wave statistics, then stores these as waves in a new folder. There are about 100 waves in the folder already. When I create new folder, by default it is displayed at the bottom of these 100 waves. How can I force the new folder to be displayed at the top of the list?

The only way to do this is to set the Data Browser's preferences to Sort Objects by Name and to name the folder that you want to appear on top so that it sorts higher than the rest of the items.
