VoigtFit not available

The multiPeakFit should normally provide with XFUNCs function, in particular the VoigtFit function.

Unfortunately, the compilation of a procedure which uses this function leads to the following error : "While executing FuncFit, the following error occured: No used or external function of that name exists"

Looking at the CurveFiiting menu reveals that there is indeed no function with that name.

So, I do not understand what happens. Why the MultiPeakFit does not work ? The XOP alias has been correctly put in the Igor Extensions folder.

Is there anybody who had this trouble ?

problem is fixed. .xop files must be moved using the "Show Igor Folder" in the help menu. I do not understand why, by doing that from the finder does not work.

I hope this should be useful for other.

Execute this and read about how Igor uses folders like "Igor Extensions":

Possibly you have multiple copies of Igor on your machine and put the extension in the wrong Igor Extensions folder.

Also, you should create shortcuts and put the shortcuts in "Igor Extensions" rather than moving the XOP file itself. That way, if we update the XOP, you will automatically use the updated XOP.

Hi kiri,
I am a newer to Igor, now I am try to use Igor to deal with some data, especially the Voigt function is necessary.
I would be extremely grateful if you would can share me the Voigt function code complied with Igor language ?
