want to convert .txt file to .OUT file

I have files which are in .txt format when I try to use the option


Macros---->AddTimePoint

It asks for a *.OUT file.

I only have .TXT files. How do I convert .txt files to .OUT files.

Need help urgently please.

Generally, anything in the Macros menu is something a user added to Igor and is not something that other users of Igor have.

Someone must have given you the procedure file or experiment that contains the AddTimePoint macro and they would know what it expects to be in a .OUT file (not a format I've ever heard of).

Alternatively, hunt down the procedure file that contains the macro, post it here and we can look at what it does and perhaps figure out what it expects.

But your local expert will be your best resource.
