XOP Toolkit and Dev-C++ on Windows XP

The Toolkit page list the Windows development environments as
Microsoft Visual C++ 6
Microsoft Visual C++ 7 (.NET)
Microsoft Visual C++ 8 (2005)
Microsoft Visual C++ Express Edition

I want to use Dev-C++, will the XOP Toolkit work with it?

Is it possible to use a C compiler instead C++?

Are there any Dev-C++ configuration change I needed?

It is possible. An XOP is a DLL. A development system that can create a DLL should be able to create an XOP. The development system also needs to be able to compile Windows resource (.rc files) including custom resources.

We have no experience with Dev-C++ so we will not be able to help. This is a reasonable project only if you are an experienced programmer.
