Threadsafe VISA XOP

Hello,

I would like to do preemptive multitasked background data acquisition using the VISA xop. As far as I understand, this is impossible since the VISA xop functions are not ThreadSafe. Would it be possible to have a threadsafe VISA.xop?

My guess is that it is possible and I will put it on our wish list. However, I'm not able to do this until after we ship Igor Pro 7 which is still a year or two off.

If you are a C programmer it is possible to write your own XOP.
