Igor 7&8 showinfo giant window

For both Igor 7 and 8 I've run into a problem whenever I try to access the cursors with the showInfo command. Instead of generating the toolbar at the bottom of the window with the A,B cursors a giant window pops up (several times larger than the rest of the screen). There appears to be some text in it, but again, given the size its unreadable. Does anyone know how to fix this?

No, I'm using windows. I attached a picture of what it looks like, maybe that will help?

That is a truly useless info window. I've never seen anything quite like it. I can only suggest the "I haven't a clue" solutions:
1) Reboot.
2) Trash your Igor preferences. You can find them by holding down the Shift key while selecting Help->Show Igor Preferences folder.
