Color scale bar tick 'stand off'

I have the following color scale bar (attached). The 'ticks' at the minimum and maximum values appear to be NOT aligned to the maximum and minimum of the color scale bar itself.

How to fix this?
They are aligned with the center of the first and last color swatch in the bar.

This becomes more obvious if you use a color table with few colors.

Conversely, if this bothers you, try a color table with more colors.

And change the color bar range slightly to omit the first and last color from the displayed bar.
