Arbitrary scaling on vertical axis - 2D plots

I would like to be able to display a 1D wave on a sqrt scale.

It also occurred to me that it should be possible to have some arbitrary function that scales the display of a wave without needing to recalculate all wave values.

Hot or not?
You need the TransformAxis package. To learn more pull down the File menu and select Example Experiments->Graphing Techniques->Transform Axis Demo.

The square root transformation is even one of the transformations already implemented.
