Connect DSLR camera

Scoping out a project to some image analysis and looking at the work flow.

Has anyone connected a DSLR (I am thinking Nikon D5600 via Wifi) to IP? I have done straight wired industrial cameras before, but I am looking at this as a lower cost option.

Can NewCamera drive a wifi connected camera and get images?

It looks like nokia does only support its own software stack called SnapBridge.

From my experience the quality of the software stack does scale with the price unfortunately.
