DataBrowser dissappeared

Hi,

I cannot bring forth the data browser window no matter I do. I even re-installed Igor, got the newest version and no go...At one point I worked with resized desktop so there is possibility that the window is stuck somewhere out of the work space when I returned to my original resolution. As I cannot resize the desktop again, is there any way to somehow reset the data browser window position by some command?

If the data browser is off screen somewhere, try to bring it back with: Windows Menu/Control/Regrieve All Windows.

Hello Jakub,

Actually, the Data Browser does not pay attention to menu selections from Window Menu->Control... It's position and state are written into preferences. To reset the DB preferences Start IGOR and execute the following commands:

createBrowser
modifyBrowser setDefaults
modifyBrowser close
createBrowser

The last command should open a default Data Browser at the top-left portion of your screen.

Hello,

I´ve installed the latest IgorVersion for Mac and there´s is no "Data Browser" in "Data".
I´ve also tried to deinstall Igor and installed it again but the problem still remains...

With the instructions from above it also doesn´t work.

This sounds like what happens if an update goes wrong, for some reason. You are left with only the updated files, not the base files.

I recommend that you uninstall Igor and reinstall from scratch. You can download Igor from here: http://www.wavemetrics.net/
