specifying number of independent source in ICA

Hi all,
I started using ICA in Igor Pro recently and came upon the simpleICA by AG in the forum. Is it possible to specify the number of independent source in the built in ICA function, previously possible in the simpleICA implementation, or some alternative way to achieve the same outcome?
A bit of background, I have a series of spectra (>100) composed of linear combination of independent spectra (usually between 4-8) that is changing as function of time or other stimulation. I want to use ICA to isolate the independent spectra from these spectra series. The default output from the built in ICA has the same dimension as the input and I find it very difficult to identify the source spectra from the other 'noise'.
Any help here is much appreciated. Many thanks.
Michael
