3D Multipeak Fitting

It would be extremely useful for me to have multipeak fitting available for images.
I have tried other workarounds, but it would be very nice to have a proper multipeak fitting routine - even if it only included 2D Gaussians.
FYI - I am analyzing fluorescence images where the z axis is intensity.

I'm not aware of any WaveMetrics packages but I have some extensive routines that try to detect single emitters in fluorescence images. Maybe it could be useful. But what kind of data are you looking at?

Sounds interesting - I am looking at CCD images of single quantum dot fluorescence, so some routine for finding single emitters would be helpful.
