Releases for Visualization and Analysis of Broadband Transient Absorption Data

Version 4.8-beta1:
This version of the "TA Data Analysis" procedure is required with the new IP7.

The "TA Analysis" procedure will work with both 32 and 64 bit versions of Igor Pro 7. It is also backward compatible with IP6 and fixes many bugs.

The old curve fitting procedures will only work with the 32 bit version of IP7. You will need to load "obsolete" MultiPeakFit extensions from new location (More Extensions --> Curve Fitting --> Obsolete). I will update them when/if the old ExpGauss functions migrate to IP7.

• Fixed bug during import of data files in code that redimensions the data matrices by checking for monotonic wavelength data. Updated again for 4.3.1 to fix bug where the code looped if footer info was missing. Footer info restored in 4.3.2.


• Improved and expanded on chirp correction code.


• Began re-write of curve fitting code. Improved consistency and clarity for available functions.


• General code clean-up and bug fixes, particularly in wave handling and naming procedures.


• Better handling of 1D (row formatted) data files, e.g., kinetic info at a single wavelength.

• Added a procedure for extracting a subset of the data (region of interest) directly from an image, using the cursors to define the limits. This is necessary for analysis procedures which require a "clean" set of data, such as singular value decomposition.
