Erratic "find" behavior (or not behavior at all)
Hello, I had never have problems with Igor 6, across any of its versions. Now I have a brand new windows computer, and sometimes I can't even copy text (I can'tt remember the erro message but was about and OS problem) from procedure files.
However, after a few tries I can, and my issue here is about find/replacing text. Also sometimes I get the following message, which has no sense for me. In the past I had replaced some text selecting tons of texts. The error with find/replace says:
"the search string contains a carriage return and this program can't do a find across paragraph boundaries"
This sounds reminiscent of problems with various security software or other intrusive software that interferes with copy/paste.
Culprits that we have identified include WebRoot SecureAnywhere, InkScape, and Teamviewer, as discussed at https://www.wavemetrics.com/forum/general/cant-copy-and-paste. There are undoubtedly others.
After disabling such software, you should restart your machine and test Igor.
