Chinese coordinate

Hi All,
Due to the research, I want to make China map(with State boundary).
Is there anyone know where I can get Chinese coordinate to make this map ?

A Google search for "coordinates for Chinese cities" may give you hope.

Maybe you could get a suitable map as an image and use IgorThief (type #include <IgorThief> at the top of your procedure window) or something similar to digitise a set of coordinates that map out the boundaries?

Hello Yi,

I have prepared an experiment that contains China administrative boundaries at 4 levels, where the first (level 0) is China itself. It is 29 MB zipped, which is more than I can attach to this message. Send me an email to support@wavemetrics.com and I'll email it to you directly. The data comes from this site:

It is in the WGS 1984 coordinate system.

I loaded the shapefile data into Igor using the IgorGIS XOP, which I am currently developing. Its initial focus will be on reading a large selection of GIS file formats and performing basic transformations between spatial reference systems. It will be released in a beta version in the not too distant future.
